The children built their names out of marshmallows today. It was hard to not want to eat them. Leightyn, Owen and Caleb decided the slide was just not fast enough and creatively added cardboard mats to spread things up even faster. Crazy kiddos!
Klayden, Adelyn, and Owen had some fun making magic potions in the sensory table this morning. Owen's had a big interest in puppet shows as of lately and wanted to share with his friends. When we have cereal for breakfast we bust out these awesome straw bowls. The children love them. The group made their O is for Owl artwork this afternoon.
Leightyn and Owen played grocery shopping today. It's so wonderful to watch how detailed their pretend play is.
Hmmm.... shopaholic in the making? Addie was quite the little bag lady today. She loves her accessories....coats, hats, headbands, shoes, jewelry, and now bags! Klayden and Owen had fun playing dress up today. Adelyn must have wanted to know what the big deal is about these seats in the bathroom. I found her hanging out and reading. Too cute! The group worked on placing the letters of their names in the correct order and practicing their gluing skills to make very cute snowmen and women.
The children enjoyed making a Look-and-Find with a variety of fun materials. Here they are putting in glitter and jewels. They also added little figurines, Legos, money, and sea shells to name a few.
This afternoon, Klayden and Owen played a number game we decided to call "Feed the Troll". He was hungry for pizza today! Adelyn's new favorite is the slide. She went down on her belly at least 50 times with a big smile every time. Happy 3rd Birthday to Becker today! Thank you to Becker and his family for bringing in delicious cupcakes to share with his buddies! Everyone enjoyed them. Adelyn enjoyed them so much, she was searching for more.
It may just be my wishful thinking but Adelyn seems to be increasingly more interested in art as of lately. I am such a proud Momma watching her hold that crayon! I guess we just have to wait and see what her future holds.
Owen and Leightyn buddied up today to read books using the Leap Reader. I often times find these two sharing a book together and it always warms my heart. The children worked very hard on their letter N's today. They painted the night sky with cotton balls before punching out and gluing stars on their letter Ns. They look beautiful!
