We were seeing green everywhere we looked today! Leprechauns paid us a visit last night and caused a little mischief. Kortlynn was so surprised to see those green footprints! Addie ate her first bowl of Lucky Charms cereal for breakfast this morning and following the code of kid conduct, ate every last marshmallow out of that bowl, leaving the rest behind. No St. Patty's Day would be complete without some green shamrock pancakes for lunch and green muffins for snack! Kortlynn was such a big girl today, drinking all of her bottles like a pro! We ended our day with some shamrock art. I caught my own to leprechauns before the day was up.
We were all very excited to welcome Kortlynn to our barrel of monkeys today! Klayden was so proud to show everyone his baby sister. Adelyn never really left her side all day. They are new best buds! Building large boats out of Mega Blocks was big today. The boys had fun pushing their creations around the ocean (kitchen floor).
We are studying Q this week and made our Q posters for home. We always come up with a chalkboard full of things that start with the letter and then vote on which one we should depict in our letter poster. We had a unanimous vote for Queen Elsa today!
Addie, Klayden and Caleb were involved in some pretty heavy pretend play in the kitchen. I love watching them! I caught Owen doing his favorite activity again- reading! We had a Grandma Sighting today! Owen and Adelyn's Grandma Mary came for a short visit. If any moms, dads, or grandparents out there want to come hang out, please let me know. We always love having visitors! Leightyn is going to be a big sister this July and she just found out that it's going to be a brother! We had a revealing party here at daycare and Leightyn proudly shared her news with blue sprinkled rice crispy treats! Thank you and Congratulations to Leightyn and her family!
Some of the children were so interested in our shakers during circle time songs this morning that I found them making their own music together later that day. Very cool to see! One fish, two fish, red fish, blue fish. The children worked on their numbers and colors while practicing their fishing skills.
